About Me + My Work
My work is grounded in the belief that our wellness, strength, and joy are deeply interconnected.
I believe that healing, both individually and within community, is an urgent need for us all in the quest towards collective liberation.
Hi, I’m Mira (she/her pronouns)—a queer, white Jewish mama, fourth-generation San Franciscan, and settler on Chochenyo Ohlone land. I’m an extroverted people lover who thrives on cultivating transformation in myself and others. I live in East Oakland with my daughter Cashmere, where we tend to our 24 fruit trees and create medicine from the abundant plants in our garden. I’ve dedicated my life to building strong communities and creating opportunities for societal transformation, always with a focus on justice, healing, and collective growth.
With 15 years of experience in K-12 education, tech, consulting, and Jewish community education, my work centers on fostering justice, vulnerability, and deep human connection. I began my journey in the anti-racist movement in 2009 while organizing at UC Santa Cruz, which sparked a lifelong commitment to dismantling systems of oppression and advocating for liberation. This journey taught me that awakening to justice is both a personal and collective endeavor—rooted in compassion, accountability, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience joy, belonging, and fulfillment.
After a decade as an educator and equity strategist in public schools, I pivoted to work in the tech industry, focusing on social impact and community partnerships. I’ve worked to bridge gaps by bringing underrepresented talent into San Francisco’s tech scene and ensuring resources flow back into communities that need them most. In my consulting work, I partner with organizations to develop equity strategies rooted in racial justice, creating long-term change that nurtures collective growth and healing.
I’m also a budding Jewish ritualist, blending ancestral Jewish practices with body-centered, ritual, and pleasure-based traditions. Through retreats, workshops, and online courses, I create spaces for individuals to step into their fullest selves, cultivate vulnerability, and foster meaningful human connection. My work is grounded in the belief that transformation happens when we connect deeply—both with ourselves and with each other—and that as we heal, we lay the foundation for collective liberation.
